Nice short week didnt seem very short for some reason.

Taking the family to the beach on Sat, hopefully get some shoptime this afternoon and Sunday for a bit.

What ya'll dingus' doing?

Hope everyone has a safe and happy w/e.

Got an anvil to look at on my way to work this morning. Hope somebody is around, I guess its sitting in their yard with a for sale sign.
I guess I ought to hope that its still there too.....better get going :D

Have 2 S60V folders to set the lock on while Gary mounts another grinder. Got to get some riding in this weekend because I'm off to Florida for fun and business, Thong bikinis waaaa hoooo. I love the beach. Going to the Port ST. Lucie area. If any body is close call me on my cell and we,ll try to link up. 931-980-4956 :D

Got my youngest son coming in to live on my 2nd floor this weekend. He is driving in from Oregon. Have seen him in over 10 years. He loves knives, guns and hot food too. :D :D

Yesterday the wife took off and we spent the day farting around antique shops. I found one shop that has more old tools and FORGING stuff than you can imagine. This feller has got to have at least 10 anvils lying around. The shop was closed up with a vacation sign on the door of the barn, but the guy came from around the back and said that since we was kind enough to stop, he'd be kind enough to open up. I bought a couple tongs out of courtesy, but I am definitely going back there when he gets back from vacation!

Today: hafting a bowie

Tomorrow: Trading in my atv on a motorbike.

Sunday: cutting up 24 feet of aluminum billet to make more tappers.

Going this morning for my first appointment on some "sleep study." Not sure what it entails, but at least I won't be a work until this afternoon! ;)

Been on a hiatus for about a week and a half (sort of a knifemaking vacation/equipment breakdown mix) but hopefully that is rectified tomorrow because I'm itching to do some grinding, forging, sanding and everything in between. :D

Tonight im heading to this private bar that I am a member of....Im supposed to be polish but got a few members to pull some strings. Ice cold beers for a buck, they have a sick hand shuffleboard setup, darts, plus you can smoke there and its in Ma. (no smoking in any bars in Ma. normally), plus a couple of my girl friends are bartenders....gonna be a blast. Tomorrow im heading up to NH for a gettogether with my GF's family.

Other than that, I think I'm getting a KMG if all goes well. A guy is selling one with a contact wheel, platen, extra tooling arm and motor for under 600$ and I think I was the first one to snatch it up....waiting on an email back! I have enough in my knife proceeds to buy it outright with none coming out of my pocket! That would be sweet but im not counting my chickens until i get an email back......

Friend of mine got fired for doing a sleep study at work! :p

Blacksmith meeting Sat. in Dewey, OKlahoma. I'm delivering a coal forge to a friend of mine, he's a knifemaker too by the way.

Mark at the beach, now ther's a picture I didn't need. :barf:

I hired a fellow with a backhoe last week to do the clean up from the fire and decided to go ahead and have him do my dirt work. Hopefully today that will be done except for alittle digging for a thinkend edge for the slab that I may do myself once I get the plans. I ordered a steel kit building from Web Steel. I was hoping once I ordered the kit I'd have it in a couple weeks but not so. It will be 6 to 8 weeks cause there so busy. The only thing that survived as far as the structure goes is the concrete retaining wall I built last year.

I hope the image of my hairy body invades your mind all w/e Mike

Hey RAY. THAT IS SURE SOME PRETTY SCENERY IN THE BACKGROUND.
Kinda

washes out that picture of MArk in his bathing suit. :D :D :D

Hey Burchtree,

Don't sweat the sleep study. It won't hurt a bit. All ya gotta do is sleep. LOL!

I just graduated school back in August to run those tests. I am what's called a polysomnography tech. I watch people like you sleep! Now is that a great job or what?

To be serious for a moment, there are a lot of things that a lack of sleep or problems like sleep apnea can cause.

High blood pressure, Stroke, Diabetes to name a few.

The sleep study will help the doctor determine what is wrong and hopefully they will fix you up. Good luck bud.

Guys give me your impression if this deal..i can get it all plus motor for about 700$ once shipping is all set.....:

KMG Grinder is in very good condition. Probably has 40 hours or less of use. Comes with what you see in picture. Grinder (Older Style 5/8" Drive?), Pulley's, 2 tooling arms, 1 platen attachment, 1 work rest attachment, and 1 8" serrated contact wheel. Motor I will give you, but remember the cost added for shipping it.

Sounds cool to me Bubba. Do you need lesson on how to use it??????? :D

I sure will need a lesson! I bought it!

I figure a new one is gonna cost me (715), plus the cost of a second tooling arm (72), cost of a serrated 8" contact wheel (225), plus pulleys (38$), the belt (8), and the motor(100+)......thats like 12-1300$ with shipping.....this saves me almost 600$ and I get it all at once.

Woohoo!

They are great machines. I got one with a little more toys for it. ;)

Buy it!! Hopefully I scored the horizontal grinder he is also selling. :D

I did buy it! I was the first one who emailed him, and just sent payment!

Shipping stinks, but it would cost more to drive there and pick it up with the cost of gas!

Ive never used a contact wheel, so if i dont have need for it, i could always recoop my shipping expenses by selling it. had no idea they were so expensive.
