 ...So there I was, lookin' for a 442 to stow away for some future transplant into a busted up 112, when I spots what appears to be an unexciting pair of knives, one of which fit right into what I was lookin' for. It was a nice 442 drop point. Included in this deal was another Bucklite...a 444. So I puts in a bid and I get the pair for $17 and change. Looking close at the auction ad I see that there is also one of the ballistic cordura sheaths included. So I figure I have a 442 as a donor and a nice cordura sheath to be used on a 112 after I make it lookin' like new again. Not a clue what I'm gonna do with that 444...After I gets the pair I gotta say that I don't think I'll be choppin' this one up. It's one of a pair that fits nicely into a "tandem" cordura sheath which comes to me with the like new 442 and the like new 444 sitting snuggly together in said like new sheath. This thing is really neat. I have never seen the "tandem" sheath nor have I ever held a 444. It's small but nice. Like a Bucklite version of the 501...which I believe it shares the same blade with. Anyone else seen this old combination before??...:D

Yes sir!
I had 2 pair of them years ago! Mine had the black handle and the grey handle. Slick little combo. Quite durable too!

no never heard of the 444 or the double sheath post pics please when you get them and congrats on the score

...Yep Jim..That's just what I got. A black 442 and a grey 444. They are a slick lookin' pair. I know the durability of the 442 as I carry one almost all the time as an EDC with the 112's or 532's but it's the first time I've handled the 444...Really nice lil' knife. I toss a 501 in my pocket now and then and the 444 is like the 501 with anorexia...LOL...Super, Super light. The blade being identical to the 501 tells me it would hold up great as well...:)

I really liked mine, but when they put the pocket clip on the 442 it was a no brainer for me! I still carried the 444 in my pocket up until a few years ago.
Now I really love the pocket clip. BEST idea for a pocket knife EVER!!!!!! :D

Good Deal Darryl!! It's great when you open up an Ebay package and it's better than described, makes you feel a little like a kid, at Christmas

...You're so right about that Scott...and you know...I find that it doesn't take an extremely valuable or pricey Buck to give a guy some excitement and a great feeling when he holds it. They all seem to be able to do that to me... :)

So is that a good description of "buck fever"?
