If you don't have one of these babies, then you are really missing out. Just got mine the other day and spent about 30 minutes on a tri stone to get it hair popping. I love this design! It's handy as all hell and slim enough to fit in a front pocket without even noticing it. Sorry, no pics as the camera has beach sand in it :grumpy:

... and there's quite a bit of forum history in them, too.

Very cool HI to have.

I love mine:) Lives in the bedside drawer, and gets a lot of boot-time:D:thumbup:

I now have one, and I've gladly made full use of the neck sheath that it came with. All I had to do is run an old shoelace through it, and it's remarkably comfortable to wear!

The same goes for the handle: a TON of carving, but it fits into your hand like it grew there.

I think it's funny, considering its supposedly aggressive background, but it really is a classic bushcraft design and a very effective personal utility knife. I've got two of them and I'll probably go for at least one more.

Actually, I'm told that's always what it was: it was a "ghillie" knife, a kind of field-dressing blade for servants and gamekeepers, which got incorporated into Highland Dress during Victorian times, as an "accessory" to the dirk.

I was just reading up on it a couple of days ago, after somebody posted what the "SD" stood for. For those interested and don't already know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgian_dubh

I think I'll be looking for one after Christmas. My extra spending money has already been blown on presents for others, but I usually get a little cash for Christmas to spend on myself. :)
