Hey everyone,

New to the forum here! I couldn't find an intro thread so I hope it's okay I post this here. I am a woodworker/mechanic, mainly guitar building and old 70's era BMW's, who has been making knife scales as a hobby (mainly personal use). I've always been a lover of a sweet utility or tactical knife but always wanted to put my own stank on it. I've had multiple friends and family members who commissioned me to make them a knife and all of them think I should make them more widely available. So I made a website! I would love to hear some feedback on it! https://trifectcustom.shop/

Anyways, just glad to find a community who loves knives as much as I do and I am looking forward to chatting with some of you in the future.

Sidebar:
I am looking to get some Emerson knives going with wood scales. Currently I only have a couple Kershaw/emerson's up. But I am looking to add higher quality knives to match the quality of the wood scales. Are there any that would be recommended to start with?
I understand if this isn't something that should be posted here, so if the mod's take it down, no worries.

Thank you!

Chris B.

Welcome to BF! Like the rosewood, very nice. Not necessarily high end, but if you ever consider making covers for the Cold Steel Counter Point, I would certainly be interested.

Good luck with your web site, I hope it’s successful for you.

Great work! I really like your scales.

I would definitely look into a higher-quality knife though. It looks like the scales significantly outclass the quality of the Kershaw-Emerson knives.

The website looks great, the only thing I would add is a picture of the clip side for the Bocote, Mahogany, and Rosewood. People who aren't familiar with the models might think they are getting a knife with wood scales on both sides.

Thank you! I can make a custom handle for your Cold Steel Counter Point. I have had people send me in their knife so I can make the templates and then send it back out with the new covers. DM me if this is something you would be interested in.

Emersons aren't my thing, but that's some beautiful work. I'm guessing you've done a few fret boards in your day.
Yeah, I will be working on expanding my portfolio to other knife makers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! And yes I have done some crazy fretboards in my day. I was the head of the custom shop at National Reso-Phonic Guitars where I designed and executed custom guitars that sold in the 15k-20k range. Here is a pic of a flat top acoustic guitar I made under my own banner, Broemmelsiek Guitars and the next is National's 20,000 serial number guitar I designed and did the inlay work.DSC_0571-1920x1200-6_edited_edited.jpg db0e5b_1898efd6f29d4c4696b17ab9d95adb16_mv2_d_3000_1381_s_2.jpg
