First off, Kudos for thinking out of the box and experimenting
Sorta like the folding push-dagger "Citizen", only, the utility blade is always exposed. And its much bigger.
It appears to be a soft target only weapon. Dunno how it will handle certain stresses when in use. First glance, it looks fragile. But if the scales and spacers are bonded into a composite structure, or if the handle was milled from a solid block of 6-4 or similar alloy then maybe that concern would be alleviated. How about a massive push-button lock mechanism? Looking forward to seeing some more specs.
This kind of design does not conceal its user's intent. (It's not a fruit slicer or letter opener) So how about going with a fixed blade spontoon weapon?
Whatever the outcome of the tac-app evaluation, Mr. Pirela and Mr. Elishewitz are to be thanked for pushing the envelope.

There's a fixed blade in the works with different blade profiles and throwable.

There's also a buttom release, automatic version for military and law enforcement...
