Just put the finishing touches on this one, I did learn that pickle juice does not make a good etching solution. I also know that one pin, the middle one, is a degree or two out. I thought I had it perfect but once the epoxy set and I removed the clamps I could see the misalignment. I also tried to do a faded file pattern on the tang. It didn't quite work out but I see the potential for it.
Overall Length: 6.75
Blade Length: 3.23
Cutting Edge: 3.0 convex
Handle Length: 3.5
Grind: Faux Full Flat
Steel: 1084 satin finished
Scales: Yellow Gum Eucalyptus, tung oil and beeswax finish, with black spacers.
Short Kydex sheath with multiple lashing options as requested by the new and happy owner.
Heat treated by Rob at Knifemaker.ca, but I can't remember the hardness
over 60 though.
The handle is fairly symmetrical, but the angle of the pictures makes it look worse that it really is. Most people that have seen the knife in person didn't notice the imperfections until I pointed them out, but they aren't knife people.
