Greetings fellow knife nuts. My setup for convex edges will be 400 grit sandpaper (only if necessary), 1200 grit sandpaper, and 3000 grit sandpaper. So I'd like to get a strop setup for my convex edges, but want to use diamond paste or diamond spray. I've heard that diamond pastes/sprays work very well for getting a fine "cutting edge" (used more for most cutting tasks where you want it to bite, such as cutting rope). So I'm looking into the dmt dia-pastes and possibly a leather strop. Mostly I've heard that for diamond pastes/sprays you want to use something that won't "give" much, but in my case I want it to "give" a little. And one of the most important things is that it has to fit into my ridiculously tight budget of less than $30. What are your recommendations on that?
