To have a table at the Kane County Gun Show in St. Charles Illinois on May 11th. I emailed in my request this morning. It`s a decent size show, over 250 tables.

Good luck. I don't know what the shows are like there but there are seldom any quality custom knives at the shows I attend. When there are they are usually by someone other than the maker at inflated prices.

Now your're talkin'!

I should have left some knives for you to lay out as examples of your work - then you could hand out your cards.

You planning on making a batch of knives and K-tools to lay out on the table?

Since that is further out, maybe I could get a couple of knives up to you, like the XD and the DBH or whatever you want to show off.

I plan on making a batch up for the show, that`s why I chose the May show instead of the April one.

It is a very 'tactical" crowd at that show, keep that in mind while building inventory for it

Just a thought here John. If you'd like, feel free to download (and print) any of the pictures I've taken. They're all in a 4 X 6 format, so printing that size is easy and straight-forward. I think most drug stores will print a 4 X 6 for around 10 - 15 cents a print.

My thought is that a nice white board with pictures might give visitors (to your booth) some idea of the different styles you have made and could lead to extra orders.

I'm fairly sure you can download the pictures just by going to my flickr account, then right-click on the picture(s) you'd like to download, select full size, and finally select download. I think I've taken at least one picture of every knife I've bought from you.

I'll get you my knives to take, the bigger the display the better.

I agree with this - John should take some of my knives as well - the two XDs, the Victim, the Original....

What else? The DBH? Show off your stuff man!

That`s reason enough not to go to this show. Most "tactical" guys would rather spend money on guns, and carry a $10 folder. Maybe I`ll wait until the Crown Point show in July.

I think I'm wrong about downloading pictures from flickr. I just tried, without logging in, and it would let me download the picture. If you're interested, John, send me an email with the knives you'd like pictures of and I'll burn them on a DVD and mail that to you.

Good luck with the show & don't forget to take a TOOL with you!(everyone will be clamoring for one I'm sure. ;))

How tech-savvy are you John? In addition to a display, you could also do a slideshow on a laptop screen or tablet. That would be a good way to show off your work also.

I would make up a bunch of the "K-tools" and sell them. They are a great value at the price, and a handy gadget. They would probably fund your trip/fees and put some dough in your pocket as well.

You should bring the girls. I bet they would sell out your table in no time! Good luck!

Nice....presentation is everything!
