Im having alot of problems preforming the horiz. basic. I love doing the vertical basic and have gotten pretty good at it, even with oil. But i can seem to be able to get the handle to roll in my hand, i cant find the right pressure i quess. The knife just kinda flops there real slow. Any suggestions?

One more thing...i was thinking of buying a $30.00 kriss blade bali at knifezilla.com will those fall apart pretty easy, how good of quality are they? Thanks

I have that kris and its not the greatest of quality. I think the kris blade was designed bad and the blade is too thin. Not only that, the blade is not symmetrical. (not a big deal, but cosmetically, seems odd)

If you really want one, you can usually find them for cheaper if you look around.

Go to SniperBoy's site and check the "Balis for sale" section. There are often Kris blades in there. I got one from there that I like.

As for the Horizontal basic, choke up on the handle a bit and put your Index finger right in behind the pivot point.

Keep the pressure between the Index finger and Thumb as light as possible and wrap the other fingers around the rest of the handle (also lightly).

Let your Index finger/Thumb guide the direction of the Balisong and the other 3 secure it in your hand. The closer to the pivot point you get with the Index finger, the better the control.
