Was looking at an option for a combination horizontal carry / standard carry sheath. With the limited real estate on the low profile EPD sheath there was not enough room on the back of the sheath for a horizontal belt slot for a 1 3/4" belt. The saddle seemed like the best option and it does work very well.
What are you thoughts ? Thank You

If i'm going to have a fixed carry option (not modular), i'd prefer either vertical or horizontal carry, not both. That being said, both the drop leg and horizontal saddle clearly work well! Nice

Thanks for the response. I had considered removing the standard belt loop but since it is wet molded to the knife it actually acts like a channel and makes it easier to re sheath the knife. The saddle would be more of an issue if you carried the knife in a vertical position, but the primary carry would be horizontal.

A dedicated horizontal carry would leave more handle exposed. If it is an EDC comfort, ergonomics and accessibility are key. The saddle does allow for L/R carry. I like it! Beautiful blade in there also!

Completely understand where you are coming from. I've been playing around with leather and kydex for a couple months now, it's good fun to work this stuff out!
