Horizontal-carry sheath for LM Core?

Finally picked up my first multi today. After much reading and finally getting to hold a few different brands I went with the Leatherman Core. Does anyone make a horizontal carry sheath for it? I looked around and see Victronix makes a swivel sheath for its SAK but I don't think it's big enough for the Core, no? Thanks.

Nice choice on the Core BTW. Its larger tools makes it easy to open them with gloves or people with large hands. This LM is the real workhorse. The Surge is large as well. (to large) but all its "extra" tools don't make it the multi I would bring to the construction site or auto garage. To much *bling bling* on the eyeglass screwdriver and such. I never liked bit changers on any of the LM's either.

The Core is perfect for a hard days work. Sorry I can't help with the sheath. I would check any gun shows in your area and see if they have any nylon horizonatal sheaths that will fit the Core..

I liked the Core's longer Phillips, its comfortable handles, and the fact that everything locks. I run my own telecomm repair business and would've went with Vic's Cybertool but it doesn't lock. The only complaint, so far, about the Core is the rivets. (Edit) Well, I just read over at Multitool.org's forums that a LM -can- be dissasembled so I'm stoked now.

Nekto, thanks for the help. I didn't think to look at other LM models' sheaths. Per LM's site the Core is 0.5" longer than the Charge, but it may still fit. I'll have to check in person.

I just read about Kydex. www.mcmaster.com sells sheets of it, and it's not that expensive. They're only a few towns away from me so I may try rolling my own custom Core sheath, with miniMag on the side.

I just checked; my Core fits in the nylon Charge sheath, but just barely. Because it is so much longer, the flap on the sheath doesn't wrap around quite far enough. There is only a very little bit of velcro engaging to keep it closed.

I would rule this option out.

Thanks JOOLIESEWS. Methinks of rolling my own Kydex. It'll be a new learning experience and maybe it'll even come out OK. :)

is the core too tall at 4.5 inches to be comfortable wearing verticle ?

does it sit high on a belt maybe?

I'm not getting anything at that link. Do have the company name or is TRD it? Thanks.

you might also try the local knife store. My local one has all manner of velcro closure pouches in various sizes.
