When you guys mention wearing a horizontal sheath on your "strong side"....what side is that? I am thinking about making a cross draw or a horizontal sheath and want to see some designs. Can anyone help by posting pictures or describing what is a comfortable horizontal sheath set up?

Strong side sheath for a cross draw would refer to wearing it on the side so that it can be drawn with your dominant hand.
You can see some examples in my links below or check out Gary Graley or Chad Pirtle's web pages.

A sheath can also be worn horizontal strong side so that the tip of the knife is pointing toward your belly button (or in some cases your belly button is hanging over the tip of the knife) and the end of the handle is pointing toward your dominant arm.

(I think this is what you were refering to when you said "wearing a horizontal sheath on your "strong side")

However, I find crossdraw more comfortable and it also allows the knife to not only be drawn in a 'normal' grip with the 'strong' hand but also in reverse grip with the 'weak' hand.

Hope that's helpful,

-John

I thought that wearing the sheath with the handle twards your belly button facing your dopminant hand would work the best. I'll try it when I get the knife finnished......in a month or so?

That's Crossdraw. You'd be reaching aCROSS your belly to grab the handle with your 'strong' hand.
