Horizontal kydex for Koster bushcraft

I want a horizontal sheath for my koster bushcraft but wasn't sure what kind of retention systems were out there for kydex. I want the knife to "snap" in like kydex does but I also want a secondary retention system like a strap or something to make sure the knife won't fall out while hiking. Is this doable with kydex or should I look into leather? Pic below is of the same model I have. Pics and suggestions of rigs welcome.

I would suggest 2 options. First is bee waxed leather sheath. Not everyone likes it, but if done properly it would make leather hard as kydex and provide with snap retention. Other option is to make leather covered kydex sheath. There are makers who can combine the two quite nice.
