Can the metal KA-BAR TDI clip (1480CLIP) be attached in such a way as to have the BK11 sit horizontally on your belt? It doesn't seem to be the case, but I just wanted to be sure. Can a tek-lok achieve this? Would the small tek-lok be big enough? I've never used or handled a tek-lok, so I really don't know which is right for the BK11.

I carry mine horizontal on the back of my belt. I just used a little paracord/550 though. Works great, holds it close to the body and its next to free.

I have a mini-tek-lock on my camillus bk11. It works fine for both horizontal and vertical, as I recall. As long as two holes line up it's nice and solid. I carry mine upside-down vertical on my pack strap, as shown on the other 'how do you carry...' thread. Sorry I didn't take a back view.

I think the tek-locks are a little overpriced for what they are, BUT they do work very very well, and nothing else has satisfied me for that knife. It's easy-on/off without undoing your belt, AND you can attach it to permanently closed loops, like on my bag. Can't do that with paracord without re-wrapping it.
