I was looking around the internet the other day and saw this product that was offered by the Schrade corp. in the past.

Has anyone on here made something like this or seen other examples of it that you think are well done?

I like this idea - it would be fun to stitch up a few.

I've got one of those! :) I got it at a gun show many moons ago. I made a few on its pattern, but they arent that popular around here for some reason. I like the simplicity and the horizontal design.

The basic pattern can be improved upon. Just up to the person with enough time on their hands, I dont have that. :p

I like that. I'm tired of removing my blade for use only to find a key or coin lodged beside the blade. I admit to EDC mostly smaller cheapish ($60) production folders. The clip I use sometimes in right rear pocket but mostly like to be a little more discrete. I carry rt side tip down mostly if I use the clip but mostly remove them to improve grip. Cant really see dedicating a whole pocket to a knife, however important, with all the crap I carry. Seems that would be even better idea with larger knives. I see plenty of vertical sheath carry so maybe leatherman is right and it is just more effort to make. Ever seen any nylon or kydex models?

Did you ever make any sheaths on this type of design ?
If so , I'd be very interested in seeing it .

This is a pretty old thread, but I did see a Helle Fire (fixed blade) with a horizontal belt sheath a long time ago. Didnt get it and it now comes with a traditional vertical model. I looked simalar to a glasses case from memory. I spend my time sewing up the holes made in my pockets from non-clipped carry.
