Lately whole threads are afflicted with the Dread Horizontal Scroll of Death, not just the post with the overwide pic. I think it started at the same time you started experimenting with banner ads.

I've noticed the same thing but I thought it was just my browser acting up.

I've seen it too but it's only on the pages which have wide pictues, if the thread has moe than one page it doesn't continue onto the next page. Though that's just what I see happening.

The offending post is a 3+mb photo at 2200 pixels wide.

He is hosting it on his own (or linking) at that point it isn't running threough the system software.

I belong to a car forum, and it resizes EVERYTHING larger than 800pixels wide to 800. (Click to enlarge to original). I would not suggest that small, but possibly a 1024 wide limitation.

So, nothing is wrong with BF, but it sure is annoying.

This used to be normal, but then vBulletin was improved so only the one post would be overwide and it wouldn't affect the rest of the thread. Somehow we've lost that. If we're lucky it might just be a configuration thing, easy to fix.

The side column ads wrap the site in a table but that shouldn't effect the rest of the posts.

Regardless, huge images should always be thumbnailed.

I'll see what I can figure out. It should be force wrapping images... but grrr regardless.
