Hey guys,

Just wondering if there's a good small-of-the-back way to carry a 7-inch Randall M1 -- too big, you reckon? Is there such a sheath around, especially in the traditional leather style?

Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but I can't recall having ever seen one...

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions --

Jack

Any number of custom sheat-makers can make you a scout style sheath, just keep in mind that a knife carried this way can only be retrieved with one hand. Personally, I prefer to be able to access my knife with either hand, if need be.

Thanks guys. I'll check with Randall -- meanwhile, any other suggestions for favorite makers?

And thanks for the heads up, Mark; I'll be traveling in a fairly dangerous country, and I'd like to keep the knife handy, without advertising that I've got it. Sometimes just seeing a knife like that can invite trouble.

Jack,

May I suggest that you contact Greg Gutcher, SR. - Sheath maker for Randall Made Knives...I've seen both shoulder holster and highride BTB sheath by Greg, first rate stuff...
