A snug fit open top was the best one I found. Trying to undo a flap every time I needed my knife and then snap it back was awkward. I like the look of a angled shieth but I don't use any shieth now and went to the dark side..A clip. Right front pocket or right rear pocket its the easiest to use. Many folks over the years say the black nylon shieth worn horizontally works really well. I think the 112 is better for horizontal carry because of the length is slightly shorter.
