Horn color.

This may be an old wives tale,but I was told by my Grandfather and everyone else that black horn is denser and less prone to chipping.

ghostsir I don't know. I do happen to have a set of small yellowish horns that are chipped and splintery.
I haven't made anything from them yet. I also have a set of black fading into white at the skull end that I have done some work on.
The tips were much easier to get a polish on it seems,but don't know if it would make any difference. I will ask my kid who has some horses and the other one who is a vet.
