horn handled friction folders from Turkey !

howdy knifers !

just wanted to share som pics of a few of my friction folders .

picked these up in Turkey on my travels ,
they range in price and quality from $5 to $20 some carbon some stainless .
there handles are made of cow , goat , and waterbuffalo horn .
there very simple very light and pretty humble construction .
most of them come pretty sharp with a convex grind (big fan of ) , i polished up some of my favorites .
i am gonna get pic heavy and detailed on my blog page .

WOW! These are great, beautiful knives. I love Turkish arts, I play Middle East percussion, so I have a number of the Darbuka (drum) pictured.
Can't believe you got all of these great knives for such a price!
Interesting how the top photo (secnd from left) looks just like a Cognet Capucin from France that I just bought. Some of the others look like Laguiole, though no surprise since I think it's a Mediterranean design to begin with. Classic design, love the horn.
