all these are desiginated as moose big horns by gec. l to r northfield orange crush--northfield burnt stag-- tiduote eggs & hot sauce-- finally tiduote smooth appalosa bone. these patterns are heavy duty with 2 big clip blades. probably decent for construction workers , farmers & big game.4.12 in. long a real hand full.

More GEC goodness from DS. Nice pic and great knives. They do use nice stag, don't they!?!

Are one or more of those hollow ground? The eggs n hotsauce looks hollow but may be a light trick. Two springs and thick blades?

Dennis are these the same overall size as the Furtaker Trapper? I just picked one up and boy is it a Hoss. I was looking at the Moose but I really wanted a warnie with yellow bone and a rose shield. Oh yeah!!! BTW that is some amazing Mooseness.

The first Furtaker was the moose, not the trapper. They did make them in Yellow Rose.

Yes, they're all on the same 4-1/8" Cuban cigar pattern.

Cool thanks Mamba I saw that one after I ordered the Trapper but oh well I really like the trapper. Dennis or anyone else how does the acrylic hold up? I like that eggs and hot sauce.:)

all of these 53s & 54s [moose, trappers, muskrats, stocks & stock whitts are the same size4 & 1/8]. the blade & spring metal stock is the standard heavy gec.all the gecs i've seen all flat ground with the exception of the sabre profile of some tooth models.actually the flat ground is the best using profile [ i.m.o.] however the sabre profile is slightly stronger & of course to my self very attractive. utility use however does favor the flat grind.at this time all my carry-users are stag ,bone & wood. formites have reported the acrylic does acquire some surface blemish but the blemishs are minor.

Fro two years I have a #25 Jack in Acrylic
It scratches like Delrin, and will get scratched by coins, keys, and such.

I carry mine in a small belt pouch so it still looks like new
