Anybody have a pic of these two together? I think my next is going to be one of these.

I like the blade shape on the horseman but prefer the handle ergos on the cqc7.
Any others I should consider in this size range with no recurve or tanto?

If you can find them, the Mach 1, Raven or Blackbird and the old Specwars with the backspacer. Ergos are great on all of them, plus a slim profile in the pocket. From your 2 choices I would go with the Horseman.

Yes the Ravens are great for the daily carry. I would go with the horseman, the 7 is cool however it is bulkier in the pocket.

I think that a 7 is a 'must have' Emerson. I ended up with two, from the good press given by the guy above me. ;)

I don't have any pics of them together, but I did have a horseman and a 7 tanto and sold them. Currently have a 7aw-st and love it. I would get the 7a

I like the design of the cqc-8, but I think the horsemans handle is to...skinny I guess. Although it makes for a small knife in the pocket I don't care much for the ergos. I guess I'll have to try the full size 8.

Yeah I actually prefer the blocky feel of the cqc7 over the 8. The finger choil in the handle of the 8 and horseman make them really skinny right there. They also tuck the lock bar pretty deep in that choil making it harder to operate.

The '7 is a very clean design, it reminds me of the ESEE-6 handle shape.

With a V-grind and a drop point blade, the '7A is a great utility knife.

Horseman always felt a little more comfortable in my hand, but I'll admit that 7 keeps calling your name. No matter what haha.
