What gives? I was just getting around to picking one up after a very long time of being on the fence about Emerson knives. Go figures....Does anyone know what the deal is?

The shape of the 8 lends itself quite nicely to both hard tasks and general edc tasks. Shrink it down to a more EDC size and more people will buy. Are you looking for plain edge? Serrated? Satin?

This is nothing new and is a common ocurrance with many manufacturers. Most smaller knife companies have production schedules.these workers make a specific number of knives to fill a specific quantity, once that is reached they change to another model and scheduled production on that one begins. Keep in mind, most manufacturers do not have an army of Keebler elves making all knives on a 24/7/365 schedule. If you want to see what knife is being currently made, look at the Emerson Knives Twitter page.

Best photo background I have ever seen! The 8 is gorgeous too. ;)

I just checked my Emerson dealer and they are out of all variations of the Horseman as well. :(

I have found a horseman brand new, pm me for where it is, dunno how long it's gonna last but it's in stock will keep searching for more for you guys...It's got the dlc coating and is part serrated, not the PE stonewash you were looking for , but if your still interested let me know.

I find that Emerson stuff does seem to come in batches. Once you have one or two of them, you'll have more patience on the others. I know it sucks to wait.

I keep an eye on several of my favorite on-line dealers and see when stuff shows up. If it's something I can't live without, I snag it.

Most recent regret is waiting on the CQC-7V. The tan G10 handled version was gone quick (in plain edge). I don't like tantos normally, but that knife is pretty sweet.

Join the club, brother. I was standing behind the door when that one made it's appearance. :(

Check SMKW, BladeHQ and New Graham knives daily. I've jumped on my Emerson Horseman, CQC8 and Super CQC8 just as soon as I found them and all three sites still are "out of stock" from when I got mine. They all 3 went "out of stock" the minute I put mine in each respective cart.

Don't wait, act quickly!

I see the Super CQC8 is backordered at Emerson itself right now and I wanted all mine to have 2012 build dates. Now I have one for every occasion! Love that design, and a Journeyman is next.
