Just reading over at KF, in the forum Mr. Hossom has, about these folders. They look to be some of the ultimate heavy duty folders. The Retribution 1 has a blade thickness of .200" and the Retribution 2 has a .160" thick blade. The R2 has a blade length of 3 7/8" while the R1 is, well not sure what it is. Mr Hossom did say that the titanium liners were .120" thick so we are talking framelock like lockup. Handles are from micarta and look to have a lot of contour. The blade steel is N690Co. As far as I can tell there is NO pocket clip on these. Anyone know anything about these? The only place I couyld find that had these in stock was the Knifecenter, and then they only had the R2.

Didn't know these were out yet. Looks just like the design drawings he showed around. I like the grip, and recurves are always nice.

I didn't know those were out already either!! Very cool!! I am sure someone will chime in who DOES know something about them!

The blade shape looks kinda like the EKI Commander's, mixed with the Crawford KFF's, which should make for an excellent, functional blade. That handle is absolutely stunning! Ontario and Hossom have done a great job!

Best wishes,

Looks sexy. An 1/8" titanium liner lock - that sounds about as close to a framelock as a linerlock gets.

I think I'll be keeping an eye out on this one. Be nice to see some reviews.

Jerry had the proto types of them at a hammerin a while back. I think these will end up being a big hit if they can be made at least semi-close to the way Jerry would make them. Typical "Jerry ergonomics" make for a rock solid grip and confort for long use. Couple that with his edge geometry which I think is about the best I have seen. He puts a lot of thought into each blade he grinds.

I was pretty excited when I saw the protos. (Most I have been over a knife in 6 or 7 years.) I was wondering what ever happened with them and am glad to see them again.

I wish someone would work with Jerry on a production version of one of his full-size fighter designs.
