I can't help but share my new sword!! It's an awesome Tactical Wakizashi I picked up from Jerry Hossom over at the EUgene show.. it just got shipped to me by my friend who was local to the area!! I have spent many hours manning the back of Jerry's table in shows in the past and I must say if I can get 10 bucks every time someone said "it's REALLY lighter than it looks" I can buy nearly anything on his table :D.. this statement is embodied in this sword!

I thought to share!! Wow I REALLY need to rig this :) (imagine this.. you can whip this thing around with your index and forefinger- NO BS) no it's not a prybar.. but then again, most urban baddies wear light clothing :)

24-1/2", 0.175" thick CPM-3V blade, with hand-and-a-half Canvas Micarta handle. OAL, 33-1/2". Total weight is 20-1/2oz.

Some guys have all the coolest toys! First that amazing Blackwood folder and now this. Jerry posted a picture of a similar sword a while back and I remember drooling over it then. Personally, this is my favorite sword design to come out of Jerry's twisted mind. I like the fact that it can be used with two hands though the grip also allows for use with only one hand. Awesome buy!

I'm had the pleasure of handling some of Jerry's large pieces, it is something that must be experienced first-hand to fully appreciate the balance and quickness of such a large blade. A most excellent acquisition, Sir!!!

Snipe,

I guess that is the punishment you snowman get for playing with your sword. He gets crush under it:D
Nice piece.

S.,

That's a FANTASTIC sword. Let me be the first to say that you *&$@..........You know what I mean :D

Do you have an IWB sheath for that bad boy????? ;)

Neil

Damn, I'll bet you could skin a squirrel or two with that one!

Gotta love Jerry's stuff.

Thanks for the compliments guys.. I dunno IWB? Neil that's your department :).. I will wanna rig this up but I am old and in Kalifornia now.. in the cold Pittsburgh weather when I was a pompous college youth I would have carried it in my trenchcoat for fun at work :) but I still wanna rig it!! just cuz!!

"who IS that snowman?!?"

Thanks for posting this Sniperboy, and I'm glad you like it.

Joss, I hope someday after you've poured 30-40 hours of hard work into a creative endeavor, someone rewards you with such a remark.

Thanks for the kind words folks...

Awesome blade, SB! Congrat's to you and Jerry. That weight spec is truly amazing. Yes, that does need to be rigged to carry, just 'cuz!!:)

Sniperboy,

Wished I had know who you were, I was standing at the table deciding what knife to buy when you picked up the sword. Jerry was kind enough to let me handle it, and it just floats.

You did very well acquiring that masterpiece - MANY people ogled it during the show. Hope to see you next year at the OKCA - it was even better than I had thought it would be.

That is a sweet one and I am sure it does float. Jerry's edges and balance are awesome.
