Many months ago I saw a knife on Running Dog's site which they called a "Japanese shop knife"--a one-time experiment that Mike Murphy had made. I liked it, and when I called to order it the knife had already been sold. But he agreed to make another for me, and here it is: 1084 steel, asymmetrical flat grind, OUTSTANDING kydex sheath. The handle and area around the blade grind have been left with a rough texture, and there is some very nice filework on the top right where one's thumb lies. Feels great in the hand too. Thanks Michael, Del & Lucky!
