I like the off season in baseball almost as much as the season itself. All the free agent and trade drama and speculation is a blast. I'm a Red Sox fan, so the Santana trade has been a kick, as was the Curt Shilling and Mike Lowell free agent talks. Also, the soap opera with the A-Rod situation and the Rivera and Posada signings with the Yankees.
The Tigers just made themselves the team to beat in the central, even though the Indians are still a great team. That trade for Cabrera gives them a tough line up 1-9. No easy outs. Dontrelle Willis could be great again. Don't forget that World Series MVP Mike Lowell was a salary dump in the Josh Beckett trade.
