I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought I'd show off a batch of what I call Hotcakes. Thats what they sell like here in my neck o' the woods, especially this time of year.
They're acid etched O1 & Jigged bone. The ones with the small/shallow jigging are Amber and the ones with the deeper jigging are Goldenroot. Pants will be finished tomorrow then its off to the customer for Xmas presents.

You sure built some fine knives this year Darrin! I love this particular combination of pattern and materials; they are almost too pretty to pack - almost. With your excellent HT and F&F... I have no doubt the name fits.

These fellas are going to be thrilled no doubt but you had better go make some more (to swap with your friends next spring)!:D

Darrin these are fantastic. I really dig that dark etch you got going on.

Hope your big chopper I wrapped is still holding up well.

Thanks guys. Andy I'd be glad to do a swap with you. If you want one let me know and I'll have one ready to bring to Dan's. I want mine to be a surprise. I know whatever you make will be nice.

Josh, I've never used that knife you wrapped for me. I have a modest collection but thats one of them.

Fantastic design. Absolutely love every thing about them. The bone dye and jigging are fantastic. I want one!

They look awesome ?What did you use to get them so black? ferric chloride?

Heck yeah I'm in Darrin - looking forward! Any chance it might wear your combo-carry leather?

Love the details of #6 the most. Color, jigging pattern and corbies(?). Can you tell me a little about this bone material?

I've been forging some offbeat stuff lately and already have a thought or two in mind for you buddy.

Knocked them out of the ballpark. I really like the blade styles and designs. The handles are awesome. Congratulations on the total package. My favorites are #2 & # 6 with # 2 leading the pack for the sheer cutting edge design.

Thanks Johnny. You've got a pretty sharp eye too. I've modified this pattern and in the future they will all be made like #2. I should have known that someone who has skinned as much game as you would pick it from a mile away.

Glad to see you getting some buzz on these Darrin... You deserve it!

I hope you continue to post your work to this forum--- I think your classic lines, clean execution, and dedication to optimal heat treat will bring you a lot of appreciation around here.

Those look great. I like that dark etch and jigged bone combo, it's something you don't see much of.
