You probably did use hotmail when you signed up -- we have allowed it in the past.

whats wrong with hot mail? The link found is unexcusable lazyness. I've had hotmail for over 5 years with no problems.

Because it doesn't matter how many problems you *haven't* had using hotmail, it matters how many problems we have had, and as a result, Hotmail is banned. Happy?

youre having problems with individuals and blaming it on hot mail. whatever.

You know, I wish we could address the individuals. But the internet makes that difficult at the least. What we saw is that a huge fraction of our troubles were coming from hotmail members. This was especially true of trolls who would get banned and then come back -- sometimes minutes later -- with a new hotmail account. I was literally up 'till about three AM one night chasing one of these people and then Cougar took over. We probably banned that guy ten or twelve times in the course of eight hours. Everytime hotmail. No other e-mail domain has given us as much grief as hotmail.

Maybe we will eventually try allowing hotmail again. I know Spark, though, and so I won't hold my breath waiting for that day.

And if another domain ever becomes the den of problems that hotmail was for us, I'm sure we'll ban that one too. It's not a good tool, that's true; but, given the nature of the internet, it's the only tool we have. Blame Al Gore; he invented this thing.
