I dont do a whole lot of leather projects.

I bought a cheap sheath kit from hobby lobby for a project I did for my brother

I really dont want to buy any leather sealer

Any holdhold stuff or stuff around the garage that will work ? If not I guess I can buy some lol

Melted beeswax will work too. It's easier to work with if mixed with some neatsfoot oil, but you can make it work on its own.

I have never personally tried it, but have read of folks who use olive oil to 'finish' their leather works. Some of them bake the piece in the sun afterwards too...

According to Jim Hrisoulas, olive oil on your sheaths makes the shop smell like Christmas Cookies. (OK, he said that about using it as a quenchant, but the same would go for sheaths, I'm sure.)

Warmup a little olive oil. Brush on a VERY light coat and let sit for a while. Oils are a conditioner though not a finish. The olive oil is an old saddleler's deal, commonly used back in the day. To finish maybe some neutral shoe polish or even car wax with carnuba wax in it.
