Recommendation? HouseMade Grinder Recommended Motor?

I have been knifemaking off and on for the last year and a half now and I have been using a Kalamazoo 2x48 general-purpose sander.
Works well but it's no knife-making sander by any stretch, and it's missing a few features I would like to invest in having.
I'm getting to the point I want to purchase/build a 2x72 grinder, and the HouseMade seems to be right up my alley.
My question is this: What motor is recommended for the build?
On the website, it is clear that the recommended motor is a 2HP Phase 3 motor, but it gives no specifics on brands, (I am not sure if it matters in this case, I'd assume it does but I've never built anything like this.) and I'm not sure what the big brands are for motors to be honest.
He also mentions a VFD he has on his YT channel but I also am not sure what it is exactly, although I may have missed it.
If anyone has any recommendations that would be great, thanks y'all!

Motor brands is like asking Chevy/Ford. I like USA made Baldor motors.
A VFD is something you can plug into standard single phase household current 110/220 and it will output 3 phase current , you hook a 3 phase motor to it and because of the VFD you now have a variable speed motor. A VFD can be totally enclosed/sealed so no dust can get in and mess it up (probably ballpark 400) or there are cheaper ones ( as cheap as a little under 100 ) that are open to any nearby dust getting sucked up in and shorting it out. Most people that use the cheaper ones build a filter box to put the VFD in to help keep it clean.
Also there are 2 kinds of motors, an open frame and a TEFC. The open frame motors are not what you would want to use because dust can get inside and ruin it. TEFC means totally enclosed fan cooled and thats what you want.

Actually, he does recommend 3 motors, I think, with Amazon links…It’s in the Help/FAQ menu under resources…
