Houser Red Widow

There was one among a group of several knives I picked up at a gun show last spring or maybe the spring before. A gun guy was selling some knives for a widow who was getting rid of a collection.

A widow selling a Red Widow. How ironic can it get? I paid too much, too. She was sitting right at his table.

There may have been two of them. I was not tremendously impressed. It seemed to be just a gussied up 119. It's nice, but I wish Joe had made it more distinctive by making more changes than just the handle. I traded some knives and a couple of guns at that show and I may not even have one any more or it may be locked up in the archives. Memory fails. I know I came back with a really nice old Winchester Model 70 (Pre-64).

I paid way too much in the first place......I'm an easy touch for widows. I always feel sorry for them and pay too much.
