I really like my small Douk Douk, however with my rather big hands I can only have a grip on the knife in between a 3 or 4 finger grip.
It's well but not as good as I would like so I examined the blade closely and I discovered a nice round tang covered by the last bit of sharpish handle choil.
I went and took my dremel and grinded the top of the handle flush with the tang of the knife.
Now I can get an almost full much more comfortable 4 finger grip on the handle.

Here's my modded Douk Douk next to a stock one:

Here's a close up of the tang area:

Here's an in hand picture:

Dispite the still rather sharp corners (which comes with the knife and which I have smoothed ous as well) the grip is nice and comfy and I like it much better now.

Thanks for looking:thumbup:

Nicely done Arend! Looks much more comfortable now, and you probably wouldn't necessarily notice the mod either, it's quite subtle.

Nice mod, and now it's more comfortable for you to handle.

Good job!

That's a cool mod on a cool knife. Your mod looks like it could have come from the factory. Good job!

BTW - Nice custom squirrely blade!

I'm really digg'n douk douk. I'll have to try my hand at some of these mods in the future. Thanks for the inspiration.
