I recently got some Eskabars as gifts and got myself one as well(not giving less give yourself something too). I work in the restaurant business and I'm constantly using an EDC knife to open cases and whatnot, typically a Spyderco, RAT1, Sog Aegis, or Kabar Dozier, and all work ok, out of curiosity I had the Eskabar on me the past few days at work and I found it worked well, but a neck knife and a chefs coat don't work too well together...so I got to thinking after my shift and was like... man that blade in a folder would be the cats meow for EDC, and I bet it'd outsell the Izula folder if ESEE ever makes them. And would have to look better than that turd Phat Bob. Just a simple sturdy folder.

A BKT folder won't be around for a while. Its been talked about, and discussed. Its not been ruled out as a "not gonna happen", but it has been put in the "try to get it out before 2020, maybe".

We are all wanting one in the worst way, some guys are even commissioning their own builds through custom makers.

But, I do agree with you whole heartedly, a BKT folder would be the cats meow, the dog's bollocks, or just plain old awesome.

ESEE just announced the folder is done and coming soon. Pictures online somewhere.

I really want a Becker folder too. They are very busy with other things but maybe in a few years we will get lucky.
 
Hmm guess I should make sure I know what I am talking about before I open my mouth. I saw someone post a link to it and saw a picture of a folding knife but cant find it now.


Found it at the ESEE website. Its called the Izula folder.

Think the HEST folder had some issues maybe they chickened out on the IZULA, I'd be willing to get one though.
 
Thanks for clearing things up slapper. So I can go back to dreaming about a Becker folder now.
 
Ah, thanks for the link. I won't let myself get excited about that anymore unless I see it in writing with blood from Jeff Randall himself :D

I guess it's a good thing since I've been jonesing for an Izula II lately -- thought I was gonna have to decide between the two.

Now I just have to try and resist the urge until after the tweeners come out.... or just get one right after Christmas so I can reload for the tweeners...
 
I dunno why they don't put a hustle one one, Alot more people carry a folder day to day than oh say a Machax. I'd want a BK2 folder but then I would have to go get all my pockets reinforced and workout a bit more so I don't develop the gangsta lean.
 
I like my kabar dozier just fine - there's absolutely nothing wrong with it but it's time for me to get an American made folder, I think. Will get the Becker too if/when that ever happens but for now I think I need a Spyderco Native or something until then.

I work in restaurants to, get a tdi clip for your becker and pocket carry it, i just got one and line it so far, the sheath leaves some to be desired, im going to look into a kydex sheath soon, also esee izula with a clip plate is a bad ass pocket carried knife.
