How about a commemorative thread too?

Since Kevin came up with a good idea, I thought I'd chip in. Larry has a commemorative thread on his website, but we might be able to add to it and see some cool knives. Anything to see pictures. Another idea might be Limited Editions and the Heritage Series.

Hammer Brand - New York Knife Company Muskrat 2002. 150th Anniversary.

Very nice etch and bone handles. Pretty knife all the way around. Curious if there were any others besides the Muskrat.

That is certainly a beautiful knife Hal. I just ordered a new camera off of E-bay so as to take some better pics. When it comes in, I'll be sure to add some pics and start carrying my weight around here.

Well here's my biggest disappointment of the weekend , but at least this thread is available to post a pic:mad: I was going to bid on this BSA Silver Ann. knife that Schrade put out in 1985. They had four versions of this knife, all with ulster tang stamps and identical shield inserts.- 1. A brass insert version in a small leather-like case of 10,000 issued
2. A sterling silver insert version in a wood and plexi case enclosed in a leather-like case of 500 issued.
3. And this one, the final knife in my quest, a gold plated insert vesion in a giant BSA emblem, only 100 issued.
It was an auction that was available by feed to online bidders, and this was lot #152. Wouldn't you know that at lot # 150, while watching this auction for an hour or more, I lost the feed for bidding and listened helplessly as it was sold to someone else for $90!!:mad: :mad: :mad: Of course I got the feed back two items later. Man was I a raving LUNATIC!........I'm better now, although still disappointed, but at least there are another 99 out there somewhere waiting for me:D , and I can still share a photo, a rare thing itself, of this elusive knife:

All things BSA hold a special place in my heart. I had not seen this commemorative before. Very, very nice. BTW 1985 would have been the 75th or diamond anniversary, not silver.

Eyegor, sorry about that, guess I was still too upset to think straight, it's to commemmorate the Diamond Jubilee. Thanks Codger, after seeing that add I really feel lousy:( :) . Here's a quick shot of the silver inlayed one. It's mounted in a wood case that can be removed for wall mounting.Sorry about the crummy handheld quality. It's too big to shoot up close:
PS - edited to include close-up of front inlay.

I may have thrown something. Thrown it hard enough to hurt my arm, and anything in the way. That kind of crap (malfunctions) is about as frustrating as it gets. Was it a problem on your end, theirs, or somewhere in the magical cloud of telephoneland?

Sorry to hear about it. I changed my email password once, forgot to change it on ESnipe, and hosed my bid on an awesome stag Ulster that I would have won cheap. I was the proverbial unhappy camper.

It really pisses you off when you've been anticipating the bid for a week or so.

I think it was more their end, the thing that gets me is it worked fine up to that point and for the rest of the auction after I got re-connected. I think the auction gods had a good laugh at my expense:grumpy: . I did smack my desk so hard that two of my cats launched themselves about three feet in the air:) . Didn't even realize they were in the room with me.I'd rather lose to someone who simply outbid me than to have it go like that, especially since I waited about three weeks for that auction, with that knife being the only thing I was interested in. Oh well, you can't win them all. I did update some of those lousy photos of the silver one above with some better ones I took today.

Eric, Codger;
Thank You for sharing the pics. They are some excellent Scout Memorabilia.

Don't forget that some of it was made for Imperial Schrade by Camillus!
