How about a fixed blade Delica 4?

I'm not a fan of the Delica as-is, but I do think the design would be a great, easily concealable , EDC fixed-blade.

Anybody else think this would be interesting?

While I'd love to see some of the iconic Spydies as fixed blades, I doubt it will ever happen. If it did, the first one I'd like to see is the Manix :D

The Spyderco Enuff and the Spyderco ARK are somewhat similar to the Delica.

As for the Manix 2, the Mules are fairly close to it.

I'm not so big on this idear. it's great for a folding design. there are better fixed blade designs as is. I realize others have other opinions....

The Enuff is rather chunky compared to the Delica; I consider the blade shape as well.

The one thing that might be comparable is how the Stretch handle is very similar to the Mule handle, but the blade shapes are quite different.

A fixed blade manix would basically be a Mule team... But that doesn't mean i wouldn't buy one or two;)

Envision a full tang PM2 with exposed tang and tapered scale slabs.. that would be the stuff of legends.. Especially in M390, with the tang polished along the handle.
:eek:Good lord.

I'll dissent here. I like fixed blades but I've never been tempted to buy a Spyderco fixed. I think their innovation is what makes their folders so different and a fixed version would simply parrot what is typically an outstanding design without improving on the orignal idea.

This is true. They have what i think is the widest range of innovation , lock types and steel variety. I see what you mean. A fixed version might be trying to “glorify” the image of the knife.

Still an ironwood M390 pm2 would be to die for. Can’t get the image out of my head everytime I open this thread :D

I would like to see a small precision fixed blade. 2-2.5mm stock and about a three inch blade. It could be a great EDC or a great bird and trout knife. There are not a lot of small scalpel like fixed blades except for kitchen paring knife.
