So I went to the courthouse in the city where I live, I had to take care of some family business. I took my daughter of almost 4 with me to hop along and when I came in, there was the security guy, the metaldetector and a local police guy.

So here I am thinking finally , knowing the weapons laws fairly ok, I knew I should have nothing to fear when walking in with my buck alpha dorado. And I'm not one to walk away from a confrontation.

So I walked through the detector without giving up my knife first, knowing full well it was going to go crazy. And sure it did, the lights and the sounds of course :D

So first thing I take out of my pocket is the buck knife, with a big smile, and I put it in the small thingie which holds your stuff. The guy sees it and starts laughing :p

"Nah, you can't come in with that, after you're done talking there you might wanna use it. I'll just keep her safe for you" and now he's all big smile lol.

So no beef at all, not even a questionable look over there and I just walked on with my girl, of course, she has kind of a disarming aura over her, so that might have helped.

After finishing my business, this guy actually walks up to me and gives me the knife. Talk about a good service

I like it, not everybody freaks out and are actually normal, heck, he even fired a joke at me :)

So, let me hear it, what are your stories where you actually thought someone would have a fit, or you would be in trouble with a knife...

this was the one.
