How about a Gurkha GSO??

10-12" blade with micarta scales I'm in. I keep looking at the ones from Nepal I just can't get over the handles. Think the gso 12 is as close as we're gonna get.

I am actually working on one of these to get made at the same time as my 22" chopper. It's right at about 15" oal. Just dialing in the handle. Would loooove for survive to make one

Absolutely would buy a S!K Kukri. Take a 12 and change it to kukri and ide buy it. I have been waiting for a battlegrade busse killa zilla, but would much prefer a S!K version

So that's what you were using the forming putty on! Cool!

haha yea, there are a few styles of knives i would love to buy from Survive! or Busse or whoever else makes nice knives...but haven't found what I like there so I am just gonna make them...hopefully...

Oh H@ll Yeah that would nice! But I wouldn't want a choil.

After some research the traditional Kurki has a notch at the base of the blade near the handle. There are a number of theories for the reason, see below, but it would make for a great place for a choil or a traditional cow's hoof design as seen below. I would be happy to leave that decision up to Guy should he take up the challenge!!!

From Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kukri

"Kukri blades usually have a notch (karda, kauda, kaudi, kaura, or cho) at the base of the blade. Various reasons are given for this, both practical and ceremonial: that it makes blood and sap drop off the blade rather than running onto the handle;[6] that it delineates the end of the blade whilst sharpening; that it is a symbol representing a cows' foot, or Shiva. The notch may also represent the teats of a cow, a reminder that the kukri should not be used to kill a cow, an animal revered and worshiped by Hindus."

I am a khukoo head, so this would be cool to see, although I prefer my khukuris to be Nepalese. I think the GSO 20 (or 22) would be more attractive.

Yep, I realize the notch is traditional but it serves no practical purpose and actually gets in the way of performing close up high control detail carving. My opinion of course.
