Not that I'm complaining about my s62. . .the guys over in the MT forum helped me make sure my first large multitool purchase wasn't a dissapointment. Chris, you should be proud of your company's achievement, BTW. Thinking(wishing) aloud, however, and I start to wonder what a dedicated MT for an electrician or contractor could be. Assisted opening blades(VG-10. . .knife snob, here) one serrated for clamshell and drywall apps., wire strippers, v-cutters, eyeglass(control)/ cabinet tip/ full size flat tips, a #2 phillips(if I can have only one), scissors, crimps, not to mention your excellent wire cutters and plier head. Man, would this be sweet. (Yeah, I want too much, but i'm just musing out loud.) I figure if E.O.D. personnel have a model designed with them in mind, AND there are quite a few less of them around then us electricians, than my idea makes some sense. (The kilowatt is fine, just a MT is more all-encompassing.)
Carrying a 50 lb. bucket of tools may be a necessity on some service calls, but there are plenty of calls where a simple, dedicated, MT such as this would do the trick.
With judicious marketing (various trade rags), and word of mouth recommendations, I believe it would be a top seller.
(Just be sure to give it a cool name. . .I'm thinking 'Power Factor'. Appropriate, no?)
