How about a large Mnandi?

Don't get me wrong I love the Mnandi I have and the size is perfect when dressing up,etc. But I think a large version would be pretty cool, with a blade maybe 3" or 3.25" long. I've got a couple of slim knives that are just really useful and feel great in my hand and I just started thinking a large would be a nice addition to the CRK line up. Anyone else ever thought about it?

The idea comes up from time to time, but I don't see it ever happening:( The Reeve team seems to march to the beat of their own drum and I just think a large Mnandi is not on their production radar. Of course, I could be wrong and wish I was because I would pick one up for sure!

A large Mnandi would be awesome, but as others have said...I don't see it happening. The existing size fills a niche in their lineup perfectly, and they have plenty of great larger knives already.

One thing I would love to see is a larger Nyala. 6-7" would be so, so sexy.

I would love a large Mnandi, but it seems that will never happen.

Exceedingly unfortunate for users like me with big hands who love the Mnandi design. :(

Someone posted a photo shopped pic of a "large Mnandi" in hand a while back. Dont remember which thread i saw it in.

Interesting idea, a larger Mnandi. This thread had me get out my small Seb and Mnandi and handle each. The small Seb has never fit my hand well--the last two damaged/arthritic fingers on my right make three-finger grips difficult and I also find I need to shift the knife considerably to close the frame (more correctly, integral) lock. The Mnandi is more of a two-finger grip with the butt in the middle of my hand, opens easily with a pinch grip, and closes like a dream with the full lock-side scale rendering the knife more like a liner-lock.

I have lots of larger, beefier knives that fit me well and get lots of carry, but, yeah, the slimmer knife thing works too. I have an Al Mar Eagle Talon in cocobolo that handles well and carries in a pocket slip like my Mnandi, though it is considerably larger than mid-sized. As it doesn't seem likely we'll see that larger, mid-sized Mnandi, anytime soon or ever, maybe an Al Mar Falcon (3.15" blade) would give a sense of what our hypothetical knife might be like--differences in deployment and lock notwithstanding.

I'd buy one without a thought. The Mnandi is fairly small and until the new CRK web page showing it as tie pin, I considered it almost dainty, but a tie pin?

I know some people have worked their Mnandis like a small Sebenza but having that classy design in a larger size makes sense to me.

If I were a man I'd certainly be willing to have this clipped to my tie!

Isn't the natural progression to go to a small Sebenza?

I carry alternately a Mnandi or a small Sebenza.

As with most companies that have winning products, you have to ask why create competition within your own product group?
