How about a little encouragement for one of our own.

Not sure how many of you saw Bruce Evans post the other day RE:What else can go
wrong...
I called bruce today and he really is having some challenges staying afloat.
Mr Murphy seems to have really #$%% on him the past few weeks.

Anyway with as much help as he has given to so many of us and the great blades he makes.
I think we owe him at
least a job well done.

I am sure he could use some heart felt encouragement right about now

How about it I think he's a great guy who makes the knife community a better
place.

Thanks Bruce

Robert,
I agree. Bruce, if there is anything I can do to help, I'm just an email away.
Hang in there...

I'm sorry I missed the thread, I'll have to go back and find it.

The fact is bad stuff happens to good people. I don't know Bruce except form these boards, but I admire his work and his openess in sharing what he's doing. I'm not a maker, but I've gone back to his tutorials several times and they made me wish I was making knives. Bruce is on my short list of makers I'd love to have a knife from. Now let me go find that thread and see how bad things are.

Robert thanks for bringing it up.

Bruce stay strong.

Bruce has a lot of talent. More important, he is a nice guy as well. I believe things tend to end up well for such folks. Karma.

Plug away, Bruce. There's an ebb and flow to everything.

Just want to say that even the darkest hour is only 60 minutes long.

Things look lousy at times when in fact they are blessings in disguise.

My prayers are with you, Bruce. You have friends you never even heard of. For example, me! :D

:) Hey Bruce, some days it's better just to stay in bed. Only thing is, we don't know until we get up and face the world. You hang in there.

Stay Safe,

A.T.

Bruce, I wish you the very best. I know about that troubled spot we sometimes get pretty close to. It's a tough place to be, and tougher still to get past. Let me know if there is anything I can to help. I mean that.

Helping a fellow maker is the least we can do and I only wish I could do more than this post of encouragement. Anyway, count on me for whatever else I can help in, Bruce.

Bruce is one of my heroes here on the forums. Nobody is more generous or better spirited than Bruce is, IMO. He and I exchanged some e-mail when I flamed a twit who got on his case. He's just the same guy who posts here. No subterfuge, no acting, just a real, honest, honorable man.

I have to admit that all the generosity which has sprung up for another maker -- anonymous -- has been great to see, but has made me wonder why it wasn't being directed towards Bruce instead of the other guy. I have trouble believing that the other maker has contributed here like Bruce has. If I'm wrong, please forgive me.

If possible, I say give Bruce the best support he can use -- buy his knives!

Like the rock on my window sill sez...
"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade."

The rock doesn't really talk...
it has the words painted on it...
:D

And now today is his birthday!!! Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you...fergedit, I never could carry a tune. Any way, Best wishes...sincerly.

Hang in there Bruce and happy birthday.
