Well,
I had a Navigator, and sold it to my brother Bryan, who traded it back to me, I traded it back to him, he traded it my brother Matt. But, all through that I liked it, though I did not know why.
I bought a Mouse.
It has educated me about small knives.
So I traded for a Navigator, and I plan on keeping it.
Which brings me around to why I am posting.
Awhile back Sal made the comment that Spyderco was focusing on smaller knives due the political and cultural climate, I think I agree with his choice.
Smaller knives are less obtrusive, easier to carry, less likely to scare, and the way Spyderco makes them, very functional.
My Mouse and Navigator have been telling me that a Dragonfly would be a great companion. As would a mini-Lum Chinese.
My thoughts on a sprint Dragonfly. Aluminum with Almite or G-10 would be very acceptable. An Almite coated Aluminum Dragonfly would offer the chance to color the scales to make it even more friendly looking. Or a slotted Aluminum handle, with color, oh my. G-10 would probably offer a better grip, and a chance to add the shell treatment, which would be very nice, and friendly looking.
Steel, I will leave that up to Sal and the crew, I have yet to be seriously disappointed.
As to the lanyard hole. Any knife that is made to be used should have one.
And if you could drill a set of holes for different carry options, ah yes. Maybe go back to a 2-screw clip to help with any crowding problems?
