In my mind pocket sheaths are pretty personal.
Leather vs. kydex vs. ...
For the knife only ...
To include a SAK, pen, or other item, etc., etc.
To allow you to draw the knife unsheathed one handed vs. take it out like a wallet then remove the knife.
Any one proficient in leather or kydex work should be able to fabricate to your imagination and personal needs.
You might want to post the specifics of what you are looking for, as this may attract more replies related to YOUR specific wants/needs.
In general, I would think the Ronin-2 is a bit on the large side for what I typically think of when I think pocket sheath fixed-blade.
For this knife intended purpose (defensive blade), and using in a pocket sheath application I would try the following:
1) Remove the G-clip.
2) Attach a cord lanyard to one of the sheath hole and a small clip/carabiner to the other end of the lanyard.
3) Attach lanyard to a belt or belt-loop such that you can draw the sheathed knife out of the pocket while also pulling free of the sheath in one fluid movement.
If this shows promise, perhaps you may want to consider a simple taco-kydex sheath in same type of application as the overall size would be smaller in pocket.
I used to pocket carry a Swick-3 this way with a taco-kydex sheath & G10 scales, and also a few other fixed blades before that one. Also works good for a woman's purse, backpack, etc.
One of the issues facing pocket-sheath draw (from the pocket vs. removing the knife & sheath from pocket, then the knife from the sheath) is getting the blade clear of the pocket without cutting the pocket. Creating a scenario where the sheath opening is clear of the pocket before knife drawn from the sheath is in my mind a design requirement for a knife like this.
As I indicated above, it's hard to know what you are looking for in the way of application and personal use/needs.
My experiences may be way off from what you are looking for.
You may want to search around the net for sheaths for the original Ronin and also the original Yojimobo for ideas. I can remember seeing a few Yojimbo sheaths designed for open & locked carry, and at least on Ronin (1st gen) that was for pocket carry.
I would be interested to read/see what you decide to do, and how you accomplish it.
