There are always many spyder nuts asking for new models! I got an idea about spyderco's next design.

For each design point of a knife, e.g., blade shape, handle material, lock mechanism... We pick a number of candidates. For example, for blade shape, we have : mili, delica, native, calypso, dodo...; for lock mechanism, we have: backlock, ballbaring, compression, linear, hidden. Then we have computer to randomly pick one candidate for each position, and hopefully it won't turn out to be a existing design!!!
 
Spyderco is never short of new models, so they needn't bother with this sort of combinations.
OTOH, I know Simona conceived several hybrids just for fun (like a Civilian with a Cricket handles, a Gunting with a Meerkat reversed S blade aso.) I think they are posted either here or at the native Spyderco Forum.
