Here's some last minute instigating:
I've been observing Spyderco's increasing involvement in fixed blade knives, and it seems to me that there is a gap in the new lineup.
Right now there are two versions of the Moran (4" blade), and an upcoming Temperance FB (4.5" blade"), Perrin Bowie (5" blade), and a Lum Tanto (4" blade?). It seems to me that there is an opening for a "City FB."

What do people think about a Salsa Fixed Blade? Wide flat-ground 2.5" blade, a simple full-tang handle with rivetted grips like the ones on Wustoff's Classic kitchen knives. Maybe a concealex belt sheath. Forgive my poor mods of this image, but you get the idea.
I know that there's a 2" neck knife coming, but with that skeleton handle it seems designed more for carry comfort and emergency use than every day using comfort. Would something like this Salsa FB notion have any application or would you rather carry a folder?
