How would you want it? Leaf or Coil Spring?

I'd want a coil spring with a bowie (clip) point... stout like on the mountaineer or project 2
 
Call Chris up and make this suggestion to him, but before you do drop some armor down the back of your pants.
 
Chris has been on the record for a long time against autos. His views are based on the idea that the proliferation of autos will eventually bring down restrictive legislation on all knife owners.

Whether you agree or not, his views are not from some over the top "talking head" but, rather, come from one of the most respected members of the knife community.
 
I am guessing that if there ever is one, it will be done by one of the guys who does auto conversions.

I don't think it should be discussed at all. Chris has expressed that he will never do an auto and I think all talk about it should be laid to rest, especially in his own forum. Just my 2 cents.
 
I think that the intricate mechanisms involved with autos directly contradicts the monolithic simplicity of the sebenza. In addition, an auto sebenza would be much almost impossible to dissasemble for cleaning. Clearly, an auto feature would nullify some of the sebenza's most favorable attributes. It is a novel idea, but an impractical one as well.

What's so wrong about talking & dreaming? As long as it's not kind of "offensing discussion" of course.

Well, I realy like autos and D/A Sebenza would be just cool for me. I'm sure it'll never be made by CRK, but a smart converion... maybe... one day? Who knows? ;)

Nothing is wrong about talking about it but do so in the Blade Discussion Forum. Discussing a topic that CRK is passionately against in his own forum, IMHO, shows no respect for his beliefs.

It's nice to dream but I would have to side with Ken here. An auto Sebenza is just not going to happen. What's the big deal about an auto? I'll take my Sebenzas just the way they are thankyouverymuch. :cool: :p
