Hey Sal, how about a Spyderco Tomahawk??

You could throw some awesome materials in it!! have g10 handles with s90v or 3v head to it.

Or like a titanium handle with grip inserts or something.

does this sound appealing to anyone else? or is it just me?

Hi Jordan,

Actually, thre is a long thread on the subject and currently our R&D dept is working on one with one of our forumites.

I think the thread is calling it a "tactical hawk"... I'll see if i can find it when I get to a suitable device to search from....

Please no pointy shapes on the back end. Heard stories of rebounding hawks impaling the user. To minimize Murphy.

Our preference is towards utility.

A nice hammer-head type back end would be great for utility and people worried about pointy bits.
It'd be great for camp types of use, where hammering can be a thing which needs to be done (Tent pegs, shelter support poles, etc.).
It would be fine for those who want a fighting type of hawk too...I don't want to be hit in the head with a hammer.

It might satisfy most of the people that way. It sure would satisfy me.:)

And idea of steel choice or handle material yet?
