How about an Air Sog with a pocket clip?

I had an Air Sog when I was younger and I lost it. I really loved that knife but there is one thing that has stopped me from buying another one and that is that I would like to have a pocket clip. Is there any way to get one with a clip? If not will you guys put one on for me if I send a plain knife in to the factory? I loved that knife and it was my EDC from the age of 15 untill I lost it at around 19. I love the ease that comes with the clips but I particularly like the design of the Air Sog. What can I do?

Hi Will,

The Air-SOG! We don't spend much time talking about that knife here. Since we don’t, I don’t often take the opportunity to share how much I like this knife! It is my favorite folding knife to keep and use at my desk. Actually, I keep a handful scattered around my desk, conveniently within reach for any one of a million tasks which come up. It’s the single folding knife in SOG’s line that I would consider “perfect” for my daily use.

OK....all that aside, you want a pocket clip on the Air-SOG. I take all product revision questions like these to our R&D staff for input, so I’ll do that for you. My guess is that it’s been considered in the past and been turned down for one reason for another. But it’s from input like yours that product revisions actually take place. To assist in daily carry, SOG does offer standard with this knife a dual-mounting pouch (for vertical and horizontal carry) to make this more attractive, so stowing or searching for the Air-SOG in a pocket is not a requirement.

Aahh, the humble AirSOG ... I lost mine about a year ago, even though I know almost exactly where it is... I left it in the attic crawlspace, while working up there and then had pink insulation blown in... At least it's warm...

It was one of my first "good" knives, given to me by my dad. Simple and unpretentious (unlike my wording:barf: ) it always got the job done! I miss mine too.
