We have seen the Best Bowies of '07, the Great Folders, so let's see the outstanding Hunters of 2007. I will start out with Handcock and Fisk.

Post photos of your favorite Hunters/Skinners/Utilities of 2007.

Wow, hard to beat this. I'm much more receptive to the shape of the Hancock piece, but all those are amazing.

:thumbup: All are outstanding pieces but I think the ivory handle Fisk would be my pick,no wait, the mamouth ivory Fisk, no, I mean, well wait, ok, I'll take them all!!:D:D

They are all great. Thanks for sharing with us!!

Kevin are all those yours? That's not even fair:D.
Bob
No Bob, only the Hancock and the Amber Stag Sendero are mine.
The Dark ivory handle Gamemaster was sold at Jerry's show and the beautiful "Wedgee" Gamemaster will be available at Reno.

Kevin, those are just amazing! Impossible to play on the same field!

Here's one from Bill Ankrom, his usual excellent fit and finish. The stag on this was perfectly matched, a feat not easily accomplished these days. I really like Bill's flat grinds with a 2500 grit hand rubbed finish.

Some great knives shown and more to come, no doubt.

A slick integral pair by Burt Foster (saved to my disk in '07 - not sure when they were made):

And a hard-working damascus hunter liberated from Burt Foster (his using knife) in '07:

And a nice and simple ebony and damascus Jim Walker piece that I picked up in '07:

If I had a nickel for every time I've looked at that pair, I coulda bougt em. ;)

Beautiful knives guys.

Here's one that I've posted before. It's my '07 favorite (that I own).

Sorry for the crummy photo.

John White had this nice stag hunter order ready for me at the Little Rock '07 show. Looking forward to the '08 show!

i'd love to see more of james rodebaugh's work! joe, that hunter is gorgeous!

not sure about jerry fisk's knives: very fancy, but the handle finish on the last picture does not seem to be as clean as i would expect (gaps, a crack, uneven filework). maybe it's just the picture...

and russ andrews' hunter: even better than before the reworking, beautiful. like burt foster's integrals. and the hancock... oh dear...

regards,
hans

Nothing fancy but the perfect small user by Burt Foster, his Blue Collar Hunter with premium Buckeye. Burt makes some sweet sheaths as well.

And a mid size hunter (user) by Don Hanson III. Sorry for the blue background!
