Alot of new woods knives are coming out with Orange handles so that if you should drop it you can find it. I was thinking with the easy on and off handle scales of the Becker line that makeing orange scales would be an easy task. Heck they wouldnt even have to be micarta they could be the regular molded plastic scales just in another color. Just a thought from someone whos spent a couple hours trying to find a dropped Kabar in the middle of a few hundred wooded acres. I noticed that the Doizer folders are coming out in orange

+1

Ive got my necker wrapped in orange cord, but I'm a sucker for hunter orange g10 handles I've been seeing around lately. The all black beckers would look slick with blaze handles.

Here's another vote for orange handles to aid visibility as you can see here, on this Bryan Breeden custom with orange G-10 scales with, of course, my new KaBar Campanion. :D

i would get some.

Not trying to be rude, but we have several threads about this very topic that are far more recent. Resurrecting a two year old thread is not necessary.

The idea of having colored handles has already been kicked around in a few different threads. I for one never understood the whole "I need safety orange so I don't loose it" argument... Ive never lost a knife in the woods or anything for that matter other then a few stakes.

Most people's preferences I think is to lean away from the brightly colored stuff and to lean towards more natural colors.

I wonder how many people here really loose enough blades in the woods to start coloring them orange? How does that happen? are you using knife setting it down rather then putting it in the sheath and walking away? I mean do you just look at your sheath and its not there? My knife is in one of two places, in a sheath on my belt, or in my hand.

Seems like to me that you would be better served by having a sheath that retains the knife 100% instead of losing it in first place.

I would buy some! Ive been thinking about making some homemade micarta scales out of a old red canvas bout cover but if i could find some orange that'd be sweet!

I dont know that people really buy orange so they can find a lost knife. I'm sure some people do for that reason but I think most buy it because it looks really cool on SOME knifes. And handles are a cheap way to dress up or just change up an old knife.
